Tester:

Ownership of quality review process,  including peer reviews of the Marketing Engineer’s documented understanding of the business requirements / criteria, the code to extract and prepare data, and the output data files prior to delivery. 

The QA will be responsible for quality reviews. 

This may include the introduction of new methods to ensure quality e.g. a user interface built specifically for the purpose of filtering to ensure quality of information deliverables and artifacts for campaign execution.          

Ownership of new tasks. 

New tasks may be one-time ADHOC or become recurring and have an initial impending deadline by  which the first occurrence of the new task is due. 

New tasks can vary in complexity  from a straightforward email campaign with one touch to a more complex campaign that involves multiple third parties and data hand-offs, and multiple touches with dependencies.   

Marketing Intelligence:

Reviewing customer intelligence information and work products in order to identify customer insights, analyze marketing campaign data in order to identify trends and make recommendations for future campaigns. 

This may include developing customer models and segmentation, what-if scenarios

Marrying customer data with other supplemental data e.g. external data, text analytics, QA of new derived values/scores, etc.             

Quality assuring ETL, data quality and CRM data integration / special projects (ETL, Hadoop) skills necessary to bring in external data e.g. demographic, lifestyle, customer pay data, VCI/AFS financial transactions, website behavior, agency model results, etc. in order to have a more complete customer data set available for customer analysis. 

Could also include integration with CRM to provide resulting scores or insight into CRM where it is viewable by contact center agents.      

Testing, measuring, and confirming  campaign effectiveness / reporting accuracy and their respective artifacts. 

The brands are measured on the marketing effectiveness or Lift of their campaigns; how many  sales resulted and can be attributed to each campaign or event. 

This is also important to aid in decision making regarding where to best use marketing dollars. 

This would include maintenance and execution of the weekly sales match engine which provides sales matches (raw data) to the brand agency  partners with Campaign Matching. 

There are opportunities to optimize the code here so that the sales match engine executes faster. 

Could also explore making this visual through use of Tableau. 

This would also include requests for ADHOC reporting e.g. one-off sales match.  

Master Data Management (MDM), KUBA, CPCR, DWH

Responsibility:

  • Checking both source data quality
  • Data ETL values and programming (Informatica)
  • Transfer and consumption of data across data bases

If there are data quality  issues or trends identified, those should be reported back to client so that they may be corrected at the source. 

Typical QA roles and responsibilities:

a. Candidate should be able to performance following duties with no or minimum supervision.

b. Draft quality assurance policies and procedures, interpret and implement quality assurance standards,

c. Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards

d. Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data

e. Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems

f.  Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality    

Test  Consultants are concerned with the independent verification and validation of the products produced by the development process.

Testing is carried out in each phase:

  • The requirements are tested by an acceptance test
  • The system design (analysis and design) by a system and integration test
  • The programs by a program and module test

Required Skills and Experience:

You design and develop more complex tests and non-functional tests.

You perform many of the roles required of a software testing project, through which you acquire a full testing lifecycle experience.

Typically you perform these roles as a senior member in a wider team.

You act as a stream leader with technical delivery ownership within a limited number of technology areas.

You contribute to bid or client proposals based on your technological expertise.

You have delivery ownership and guide individuals and groups towards desired outcomes.

You also actively participate in at least one community.

• Certification: Should have SE Level 1 and seeking level 2, Bachelor's degree

• Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Testing Lifecycle, Testing Expertise, Testing Techniques, Testing Management, Architecture Knowledge, Technical Solution Design and Quality Management.
