Job Description:

Leadership skills to work at Director level roles with customer 

Assess the automation process and identify opportunities to improve

Create a plan to implement the improvements in automation

Implement the automation improvement plan collaborating with Cap CoE, Project Teams, Test Teams, Customer

Formulate/develop automation strategy for enterprise

Create automation strategy for the project

Determine automation scope for projects and releases

Estimate the automation efforts and for the project or regression

Prepare time estimates for all automation activities

Facilitate and manage the automation script preparation, testing, execution, training/handover, maintenance schedule

Manage the automation resources (onsite and offshore) and deliverables

Review and evaluate project deliverables (automation solution/framework, automation scripts, automation test reports/metrics) for acceptance

Facilitate approvals of deliverables and invoicing

Evaluate automation outcomes from ROI perspective 

Establish the process and guidelines for Automation (Automation CoE)

Ensure that  the team adheres to the established processes and guidelines of Automation Center of Excellence

Skill Requirements:

  • Hands on technical expertise in test automation projects
  • Technical Lead experience is a *MUST* requirement
  • Agile project delivery experience is a *MUST* requirement
  • Selenium experience is a *MUST* requirement
  • Telecom domain is a big plus


12+ overall years in Test Automation

5 years of experience in leading automation teams in onsite/offshore model

Delivering complex  automation programs working with Director level roles with customer

Managing a automation team involved in testing a variety of complex  enterprise systems and interfaces with multiple data sources

Development of automation approaches or strategies for projects

Hands on experience with automation testing

Reviewing and assessing test scenarios, test cases (for automating), and test data needs

Reviewing the technical design of  the application from automation perspective

Assessing and communicating risk to schedule, cost, or quality on automation

Preparing and managing the detailed automation testing schedule

Preparing and facilitating the creation of automation scripts from test  scenarios/test case

Excellent communication (written and verbal)

Ability to react to changing project  plans and come up with creative alternatives

Organizational and planning skills

Analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to work in a collaborative environment

Taking initiative to locate appropriate resources and gather information as needed

Ability to prepare and present project test status reports to management

Test Consultants are concerned with the independent  verification and validation of the products produced by the development  process.

Testing is carried out in each phase:

  • Requirements are tested by an acceptance test,
  • System design (analysis and design) by a system and integration test
  • Programs by a program and module test

Required Skills and Experience:

You design and develop more complex tests and non-functional tests.

You perform many of the roles required of a software testing project, through which you acquire a full testing lifecycle experience.

Typically you perform these roles as a senior  member in a wider  team.

You act as a stream leader with technical delivery ownership within a limited number of technology areas.

You contribute to bid or client proposals based on your technological expertise.

You have delivery  ownership and guide individuals and groups towards desired outcomes.

You also actively participate in at least  one community.


  • Should have SE Level 1 and seeking level 2, Bachelor's degree
  • Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Testing Lifecycle, Testing Expertise, Testing Techniques, Testing Management, Architecture Knowledge, Technical Solution Design and Quality Management.
