Business Analyst 2 - Technical Business Analyst

  • Analyze existing Store Management System and Interfacing Systems
  • Work with domestic and international stakeholders to define functional gaps and solutions
  • Create Functional Specifications and User Interaction Scenarios
  • Assist Design and Development Activities by providing additional detail and context
  • Assist Testing activities and check end-state solution
  • Interface between Onshore and Offshore resources on assigned projects
  • Provide process improvement recommendations

Skills

  • Must have strong communication skills, must be able to independently facilitate and lead working meetings with multiple business and technical stakeholders. 
  • Must be able to facilitate requirements workshops and elicit requirements from multiple stakeholders. 
  • Must be a strong communicator in virtual meetings including offshore and international teams.
  • Must have strong problem solving skills, must be able to identify and lead towards creation of business cases, shared understanding and verbalization of problem statements, possible solutions and project scope. 
  • Strong Analytical skills. Must have experience in using tools and techniques to conduct analysis and deconstruct complex problems using tools such as use cases, decision models, activity diagrams and business process models.  
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills. Must be able to evaluate, compare and present multiple solution options helping teams to settle on a solution
  • Must have experience in creating clear and concise documentation and specifications using one or more project methodologies – Agile, RUP, Waterfall.
  • Must be able to use online collaboration tools such as Confluence and Jira and must have medium to advanced skills in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Must have good technical understanding of client-server as well as web-based and ecommerce solutions. Must understand the concepts of functional and solution architecture.
  • Must understand basic integration mechanisms including Web Services, XML and JSON.
  • Must understand relational databases and be able to write simple to medium SQL queries including joins on multiple tables.  
  • Experience in retail, servicing and QSR Business would be a definite plus

Business Analysts enable the transformation and performance improvement of an enterprise or its parts, with respect to people, process and technology, by providing relevant capabilities, assets (human and non-human), processes and tools (from both a technical & functional aspect). Business Analysts structure, analyze and visualize an enterprise’s current state; design and visualize the future state; and design and guide the change process from current to future state. Developing sector knowledge is of foremost importance for all Business Analysts. Technical analysts can specialize in ERP, Application Management or Custom Software Development (CSD). Functional analysts can specialize in Strategy Execution, Business Process Transformation or Change Management.

Required Skills and Experience:

You are a self-reliant analyst who has mastered at least one methodology.  You are developing your knowledge in a business and/or industry domain and an ERP solution or a technical tool / programming language. Possible positions could include being a Business Process Consultant describing processes, Requirements Analyst describing business / functional requirements or Package configuration. 

• Qualification: Minimum 3 years experience, Bachelor’s Degree.

• Certification: Acquire BA Level 1. 

• Should have progressing skills in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Package Configuration and Change Management.

• Should have baseline skills in Functional Architecture Design and Architecture Knowledge.
