SAP PPPI QM Manager Job Description:

The SAP Business Analyst - Demand to Supply (DTS) PP-PI QM  position is an integral part of the Information Technologies department team.

The position is the primary coordination point for both day-to-day systems support and new project design and implementation with the operations organization. 

The role requires the analyst to design, develop, test, and implement efficient, cost effective solutions within the SAP landscape.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to the businesses on the appropriate use of the SAP system Review, analyze, and evaluate as-is business processes within the DTS work stream. 
  • Designs to-be business processes based on SAP DTS global template and best practices
  • Lead and assist in SAP design sessions
  • Configure and maintain the relevant ECC components including, but not limited to SAP PP-PI & SAP QM (including documentation)
  • Support business users in delivery of end user training.
  • Support Extract, Transform and Cleanse of DTS data objects
  • Provide overall maintenance and support.
  • Create functional specifications for application development objects (interfaces, conversions, enhancements and reports and forms) and guide the development of those programs within the development team.
  • Coordination with the global team on all changes
  • Weekly travel to project location/client site required


In-depth understanding of SAP PP-PI and QM functionality and underlying data model (including configuration and master data).

Understanding of cross-process integration with focus on manufacturing execution and quality management.

Minimum of  5 years experience in end-to-end life cycle implementation projects for SAP PP-PI production execution.

Minimum of  5 years SAP project experience including facilitation and communication to customers and stakeholders.

Experience working in a global SAP environment.

Experience working on 3 or more Full Life Cycle SAP R3 implementations.

Experience providing structure and guidance to a global project  team. 

Experience with Variant Configuration a plus

Experience with SAP MII a plus.

Experience working with solution manager and SAP ASAP methodology is a plus.

Must be detail oriented, self-directed and have strong independent problem solving skills. 

Strong communication and presentation skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Time management skills are a must; as well as the ability to be flexible and creative.

Four-year college degree and substantial hands on work experience with SAP (recommended 3-5 years).

MUST be willing to travel extensively, up to 100%.

With their expertise in a specific technology environment, Applications Consultants are responsible for software-specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment and release management, or technical and functional application management of client-specific package based solutions (e.g. SAP, ORACLE). 

These roles also require functional and methodological capabilities in testing and training.

Required Skills and Experience:

You are an expert in one or more business processes and technology practices and are accountable for translating a business case into a detailed technical design.

Alternatively, you are responsible for operational and technical issues and translate technical blueprints into requirements and specifications.

You may also be responsible for integration testing and user acceptance testing.

You act as a stream lead, guiding team members by experience.

You are seen as active member within technology communities.

• Qualification: Minimum 5 years experience, Bachelor’s Degree.

• Certification: Should have SE or ERP/SAP Level 1 and seeking level 2.

• Must have experience in Package Configuration. • Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Architecture Knowledge, Technical Solution Design and Vendor Management.
