Senior VOIP Network Engineer

The responsibilities for the successful candidate will include: 

• Provide assistance in daily operational support for Implement, maintain and troubleshoot Avaya S87XX/83XX/85XX class media servers and gateways running Avaya Communications in multiple data centers and corporate offices to the run team • Provide assistance in daily operational support for Implement, maintain and troubleshoot Nortel PBX and gateways in multiple data centers and corporate offices to the run team • Execute project work related to the Voice/Telephony support area during service interruptions with minimal supervision. This includes managing vendors and communicating status to the area supervisor(s). • Performs routine system administration and maintenance on local or remote locations with no impact to the business. • Keeps documentation up to date for all telecommunications systems such as toll free numbers, call center routing, trucking and voice announcement scripts. • Proactively analyses, troubleshoots and resolves telecommunications systems and circuit issues in a timely manner. • Resolves open help desk tickets and verifies all issues were properly resolved and documented. • Perform Baseline current environment • Assist with office move project issues • Perform environment audit and provide recommendations • Front end conversations with client and vendors 

Must have an in-depth understanding of Traditional Avaya (Avaya Red) and Traditional Nortel (Avaya Blue) Voice solutions. 

- Avaya Architect/Engineer Thoroughly understand VoIP principles in a converged environment. Good knowledge of H.323, SIP. Strong working knowledge of Avaya Aura/Unified Communications/Communication Manager architecture Hands-on experience of supporting following devices/applications · Avaya S88XX/S87XX media servers ·  Avaya G650/G350/G450/G700 media gateways · Avaya IPSI, CLAN, MEDPRO, DS1, Analog boards/media modules ·  Avaya 46XX/96XX series and One-X desk/soft phones ·  Avaya Communication Manager · Avaya Session Manager · Avaya System Manager · Avaya System Platform · Avaya Application Enablement Server · Avaya Utility Server ·  Avaya Secure Access Link Must have experience of administering the following in Communication Manager ·  World Class Routing – AAR and ARS · Tenant Partitioning, Locations, IP Network Regions ·  Audio Shuffling/ Hair-pinning · Class of Service, Class of Restriction · Trunk-groups, Signaling-groups · Hunt-groups, Pickup-groups, Answer-groups ·  Vector programming · Announcements, Music on Hold ·  Phone button configuration · Call forwarding, Call coverage · Extension to Cellular – EC500 Other Skills/Knowledge · Interpreting Communication Manager Traces, system logs, events, errors, alarms etc. · Installing/Deploying patches, service packs for Avay
