To keep up with these growth and business-development plans, Cognex needed to upgrade its 20-year-old ERP system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-an-erp-foundation-for-growth\">An ERP foundation for growth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Cognex selected SAP S\/4HANA for its ERP backbone because of its maturity, stability, and ability to provide cross-functional integration to connect all areas of the business. Working with Capgemini, Cognex implemented SAP S\/4HANA with applications hosted on Microsoft Azure. Cognex also uses Capgemini Cloud Platform (CCP) as a single cloud-management system to help the company leverage the efficiency and agility of these cloud solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-benefits-of-sap-s-4hana-with-applications-hosted-on-microsoft-azure\">Benefits of SAP S\/4HANA with applications hosted on Microsoft Azure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result, Cognex benefits from data that is consolidated and more accurate and accessible, plus tighter integration across the business and a strong digital-core foundation for future growth. According to Doug Curren, Senior Director, Business Applications, at Cognex, \u201cIt is powerful to see how S\/4HANA can show how changing a business process in one area can have an impact in another, because S\/4 is so tightly integrated.
