Capgemini Canada had the privilege of hosting Toronto’s Honorable Mayor John Tory to a tour of our Applied Innovation Discover Centre (AIDC)

With access to global best practices from across the Capgemini AIE network, the Toronto AIDC is the connecting thread for clients and partners to create prototypes, incubate and evaluate new ideas to help businesses improve their performance and solve problems through technology.

Capgemini Canada’s CEO, Sanjay Tugnait, who will be accompanying Mayor Tory on his upcoming business delegation to India, provided the Mayor an in-depth overview about how Capgemini can put Toronto on the map as an innovation hub by helping Canadian companies grow and expand their markets globally.

“Toronto is uniquely positioned to be the innovation hub of Canada,” said Sanjay Tugnait. “Hosting this tour for Mayor John Tory allowed us to showcase how Capgemini can enable cross border growth for Canadian companies by connecting them to our global expertise, further enhancing local innovation, local investment and local job opportunities while increasing local revenue streams through a variety of initiatives.”

In a press interview with BNN the Mayor said “I’m going to India and sitting with people like Capgemini who are helping me tell a fabulous success story of how they are playing a global role from Toronto around the world”

During the tour of the innovation lab, Mayor Tory experienced a series of exhibits on delivering a smart city and featured Capgemini solutions for policing, airports, utilities and taxation, robotics, finance and administration.
