The Internal Communications Manager for the Canada BU will be responsible for understanding the go-forward Canada business strategy in order to craft and execute the relevant communications strategies, programs, and tactics to engage the Canadian employee population and optimize the employee experience.


The successful candidate is a high producer with C-suite acumen who thrives on accountability and the opportunity to build something new. The candidate is creative, has a passion for flawless execution, and is adept at juggling competing priorities.


The candidate is laser-focused on how we impact and improve the employee experience. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success managing employee communications programs in matrixed or start-up organizations.


Strong attention to detail, along with strong writing and editing skills, are essential. The candidate should have strong knowledge in all aspects of corporate communications, understanding the innate interconnectivity of internal organizational communications, executive communications, PR, internal and external events.


Specific responsibilities will include:

  • In alignment with Canada BU leadership, plan and deliver internal communications to support all business priorities, inspire employee engagement, and drive company culture
  • Manage Canada BU internal newsletter and Canada news content on Intranet site
  • Develop and manage internal business events for employees and leadership, both virtual and in-person
  • Develop content and bios for leadership participation in external or Group events
  • Be the first line of contact for internal Canada crisis communications
  • Partner with HR & CSR to tailor Americas SBU communications for the Canadian audience where nuance requires regional customization
  • Monitor activities and deliverables to track progress, metrics, and audience / stakeholder feedback
  • Successfully deliver quality project requirements on-time
  • Build-out and continuously improve internal processes and procedures to improve internal communications for Canada
  • Work closely with Canada leadership on quarterly goal setting and mechanisms throughout the year to successfully deliver on communication goals
  • Hybrid working model; Average of 3 days a week in office is required; precise schedule to be determined
  • 5-10% travel
  • Other duties as assigned


The Canada Internal Comms Manager will report to the Americas SBU Internal Communications Lead with a dotted line to the President & Managing Director of Canada.


  • Bachelors’ degree required
  • 5-10 years of well-rounded experience in internal communications in positions of increasing responsibility
  • 5+ years of running high-performance communications teams in matrixed organizations
  • Proven success at architecting and executing internal communications programs
  • Expert, grammatical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • 5+ years writing executive and other company messages
  • 5+ years supporting internal or external company events from a planning, logistics, and content development perspective
  • Must demonstrate the capacity to thrive in complex organizations with multiple constituents up to and including C-Suite executives, and the ability to work with creative teams and serve diverse audiences. 
  • Ability to resolve issues and propose solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to deliver against extremely tight deadlines.
  • Highly flexible; able to quickly respond to changing or unanticipated needs and mobilize cross-functional teams accordingly.
  • This individual must be a high energy self-starter who is comfortable collaborating or working independently
  • She/he possesses the professional maturity to whether the unknown.
  • She/he should have excellent interpersonal skills,
  • She/he must be highly organized and able to multitask.
  • She/he should be able to work in both Macintosh and PC environments and have at least intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft PowerPoint and shared mailboxes in Microsoft Outlook
  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, in particular) preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of content management systems, SharePoint, or other intranet software required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams & Yammer a plus.
