BW Sr. Developer with ABAP
The BW Sr. Developer (w/ABAP) at OPG will provide expertise in the following areas:
� Data integration between BW and SAP transaction systems, BW and non-SAP transaction systems, including the ability to produce data exports in pre-determined formats for consumption into the transaction systems by existing processes
o Including design of data flows, transformations, process chains
� Transformation and/or correction of data in BW based upon rules provided by the client (ABAP)
o Produce data corrections to be pushed back to source transaction systems
� Determine corrections to master data in source transactions systems, based upon rules provided by the client
o Push master data corrections back to source transaction systems
� Specific Details include:o Design and build an ad-hoc process to automate:
[a] Downloading required data from client reports as part of month end activities and correcting errors by leveraging business rules provided by client. This will enable correction of a 44-digit journal code. The automated program will populate the details in existing journal templates to process the correcting entry. This template will leverage the existing load mechanism to update journal details to SAP ERP and/or other systems.
[b] Correction of master data entry in associated source systems, this includes SPUFI in AS7, Concur Wizard, Oncore Template, MyTime
Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
Responsible for programming and software development using various programming languages and related tools and frameworks, reviewing code written by other programmers, requirement gathering, bug fixing, testing, documenting and implementing software systems. Experienced programmers are also responsible for interpreting architecture and design, code reviews, mentoring, guiding and monitoring programmers, ensuring adherence to programming and documentation policies, software development, testing and release.
Required Skills and Experience:
You assign, coordinate, and review work and activities of programming personnel. Collaborate with computer manufacturers and other users to develop new programming methods. Supervise, train, mentor junior level programmers in programming and program coding. Represent team in project meetings. Work with business and functional analysts, and software & solution architects in ensuring that programs and systems function as intended Supervise, mentor and manage large teams of programmers in one or more projects. Represent project teams in project/program meetings or in meetings with sponsor.
� Qualifications: 7 � 10 (3 years min relevant experience in the role) years experience, Bachelor�s Degree.
� Must have experience in Software Engineering Techniques, Software Engineering Architecture, Software Engineering Lifecycle and Data Management.
� Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering Leadership, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
