“The future is bright and that really excites me every day.”

Why I joined Capgemini

It was our Canadian executive team and their outlook for growth in Canada. I wanted to be part of the culture and I could see there would be lots of latitude to make my mark.

Capgemini Canada’s culture

It’s very team-based, collaborative, and people-focused. But it’s also all about authenticity. Everyone can be themselves and feel comfortable in their own skin. I don’t believe in forcing people into a particular mold.

My life at Capgemini

I’m part of the advisory practice at Capgemini Canada, based in Calgary. My role is to focus on building out our value propositions for our energy-industry portfolio. On an average day, I could be doing delivery work for a client or meeting with our local team to build out our strategic framework for energy. I could be meeting with external partners or doing business development, working with the sales team, or looking at what’s happening in the energy sector in Alberta and North America.

A special Capgemini memory

We recently had a business trip for a strategic planning session with our energy, utilities, and chemicals group. Our selection process for attendees involved an intense competition of improv charades. I won both rounds. I love that we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

My favourite things about Capgemini

The best thing is the opportunity that comes with being part of a growing business with unlimited potential. You really have the ability to shape things with your own ideas.

My advice on joining Capgemini

Right now you have to be very entrepreneurial, open-minded, and be able to operate with minimal direction. You will have the opportunity to put your stamp on the Capgemini brand in Canada.
