On the other hand, they also offered the opportunity to broaden and refine my knowledge and competencies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-is-your-current-project\">&#8211; <strong>What is your current project?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently I\u2019m assigned as a Project Manager in the nuclear industry. One of the installations has been shut down a couple of years ago. The scope of my project is to prepare the site to decommission the inner parts of the installations. Those processes are very complex with a lot of internal &amp; external stakeholders and to manage different budgets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-do-you-start-your-typical-day-as-a-project-manager\">&#8211; <strong>How do you start your typical day as a Project Manager?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; letter-spacing: 0.4px;\">My day starts with greeting the team members and listening to their story. Private or project related, it doesn&#8217;t matter. It is important to have a relationship of trust with the team members and that they feel they are always supported.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-are-the-main-challenges-as-project-manager\">&#8211; <strong>What are the main challenges as Project Manager?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The main challenges are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Become familiar with the internal products and processes as quickly as possible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop an internal network of contacts and SPOC\u2019s (<em>single point of contact<\/em>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Setup a clear and transparent communication plan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act as a coach and motivate your team to take initiative and learn to deal with failure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work in a structured and organized way.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-do-you-like-the-most-in-your-job\">&#8211; <strong>What do you like the most in your job?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>What I like most about my job as Senior Industrial Operations Engineer &#8211; Opex &amp; Supply Chain is the variety of industries and challenges that always cross my path. Each time a new assignment is different from the previous one and I can give it my own touch within the defined boundaries of the assignment. Due to my eagerness to learn, these types of assignments are the ideal breeding ground for developing a broader field of knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For young graduates who like variety, this job is the ideal option to quickly gain practical knowledge and experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-kind-of-advice-would-you-like-to-give-to-your-younger-self\">&#8211; <strong>What kind of advice would you like to give to your younger self?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I would say, search for your boundaries and don\u2019t be afraid to stretch it.
