What drives me to work:
My quest of learning something new each day is what drives me to work every morning. CyberSecurity is a very dynamic field and it demands that the professionals, who are part of it, are updated with the latest technological trends so, as to adequately protect the underlying systems (applications, databases, networks and operating systems etc.) from the cyber attackers/ hackers and insiders etc. My field gives me the right platform to satisfy my quest.
My usual work day:
Under the CyberSecurity consulting space I have a number of responsibilities like, leading and managing consulting engagements, helping clients build their information security strategy and roadmap. I also deliver various pre-sales engagements, develop detailed project delivery methods and participate in various client visits.
Skills for Security Consultant
CyberSecurity is very dynamic and very fast paced, and there has been a constant need for professionals, who can keep pace with the rapidly changing threat landscape and attack vectors. You must have the ability to seamlessly apply adequate technical, administrative and physical security safeguards, to protect the large amount of data that is generated by use of emerging technologies such as cloud, mobile, analytics, social, IoT, block chain and OT etc.
As for qualification a practitioner with a bachelor/ master degree in technology or CyberSecurity is preferred for this role.
In my role, as a Manager with the CyberSecurity Strategic Consulting, I aim to achieve the following:
- Gain utmost knowledge and skills, to be a strong advocate in CyberSecurity
- To become a thought leader in my field

What makes me Proud?:
I was given the responsibility of representing Capgemini at various global/ local events where, I had to showcase the entire portfolio of services that we offer as part of CyberSecurity. Since, I had not represented any organization at such large events in the past; I feel that getting & successfully executing such opportunities was a proud moment for me.
Apart from that, there were several instances, where I was called to manage some of the most challenging situations including customer/ internal project stakeholder escalations. I managed them pretty well which was very well appreciated by the management, which also made me proud.
