Capgemini at VMWorld Europe 2019
VMworld 2019 was held between November 4- 7 at Barcelona, Spain, revolving around the theme of Make Your Mark. The 4 conference days were designed to be a discovery powerhouse for 14,000+ attendees across nearly 500+ breakout sessions, focusing on transforming networking and security for speed and flexibility and delivering digital workspaces for amazing mobile experiences.
Capgemini was a Gold SISO partner at VMWorld Europe 2019, joining the industry’s forefront game changers and experts to discuss and explain ways to achieve next-generation vision for an agile hybrid cloud environment. Capgemini was among the very few SIs to be mentioned as a ‘VMC on AWS partner’ on the AWS booth.
It was the first time that over 4000+ partners joined the event in Europe, which was higher than VMworld in San Francisco earlier in 2019. This was also the first year when VMware hosted a SISO partner summit for senior partner executives in Europe.

With 119 sponsors showcasing their innovative technologies, the Solutions Exchange was one of the biggest highlights for the attendees.
Capgemini’s Stuart Fleming (Vice President, Cloud Services, UK) presented on “How to get off the white elephant of physical and leverage the true benefits of VMware Cloud on AWS”. In the modern world of immediacy, the question cropping up most often is how to kill latency whilst reducing business costs and delivering rapid value. Stuart’s session provided insights into the successful implementation of a scalable hybrid cloud platform which allows quick access to AWS with a simple migration approach leveraging VMware’s tools.
