– Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

As a Senior QA Manager, I spend most of my days on client projects where I help them manage complex test assignments, shape program test strategies, or guide them into improving their overall test maturity.

On top of that, I’m actively contributing to the growth and success of our Business Unit by working on recruitment, coaching, (pre-) sales, and thought leadership.

– What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

It is great to be part of such a large group of talented professionals – there’s always someone to reach out to, or to contact in case you have questions or need help on anything.

However, the best thing about working at Capgemini might be the opportunity to actively shape and develop your own career. There is so much available in terms of training, material, support structure, coaching, mission variety, etc., that we are really living up to our creed of “You’re in the driving seat of your own career”.

– What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

I’m proud to work at Capgemini because of our drive to always be ahead of the curve, in every aspect. We invest time and effort into innovating, Thinkubators, Lead Technologist programs, the World Quality Report, Quantum Futures, AI, Technovision, our Metaverse Lab, etc.
We really set the pace and shape the future within our industry.

Not only that, Capgemini also strives to be a front runner in other areas as well, such as CSR. With our own Net Zero ambition and various social initiatives, we’re really setting the bar.

– How are you working towards the future you want?

As part of the SogetiLabs family, I’m privileged to be able to tap into a network of champions – people at the absolute top of their respective fields, ranging from DevOps to VR/AR, Quality Engineering, AI & ML, etc.

By working with them and learning from them, I’m able to take so much to both our clients, as well as our own local QE&T department. With that knowledge, we’re actively carving out new career paths for the QA professionals of the future.

– What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

Just say ‘Yes’! Throughout your career at Capgemini, you’ll often get the chance to work on new challenges or initiatives – some of which might seem daunting, or where you feel out of your depth. In those cases: just say ‘yes’!

You will be supported every step of the way, you’ll learn a lot, meet new people and expand your network, and equip yourself even better for the next challenge!
