Your imagination is the only limit to what you can do with us.

– Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

In my current role as Data Governance Lead for Capgemini Belgium I am responsible of the growing of the practice via the formation of a new Data Governance culture within our organization, the recruitment of the new talent resources, the delivery of critical projects and the nurture of new concepts and services on the offer side.

I am also part of the worldwide pool of experts of the Global Capgemini Data Trust community which aims to maintain and develop methodologies and the technologies knowledge-base across the geographies of the Capgemini world.

– What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

The technology is evolving so fast and Capgemini doesn’t keep you locked in static concepts or roles. Rather, it follows the flow and let you imagining your future. The customers’ requirements always new and different require such as variety of expertise that only curious and always on-the-learn individuals could cope with. Capgemini is a people-centric company in a true sense!

I also like the flexibility I get in my work which allows me to keep a good balance between my work aspirations and my family life.

– What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

I have already said that Capgemini is a people-centric company and that is very much true. I have worked in consulting many years and often internal frictions didn’t bring anything good to customers. This doesn’t happen at Capgemini and I am very glad that all our energies are truly devoted to the satisfaction of the client.

I also think that Capgemini’s culture of open-opportunities incentives the entrepreneurial mindset so that any individual, at his/her pace, can take advantage of an organization capable to set the field for any good idea.

– How are you working towards the future you want?

I have in mind the talents I want to recruit to develop our practice and the skills we need to cope with customers’ requests nowadays and in the near future and I am glad to say that Capgemini management is very supportive.

The future I want is to have customers, colleagues and sales force be aware of the importance of the data governance because good info means very likely good decisions regardless it concerns business, health, environmental, mobility and so on decisions.

– What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

Your personal attitude is key. It is something you may have since born but you can definitely nurture at Capgemini. Closing an eye to get you up to speed to your role and your ambitions is the normality at Capgemini. So, since day-one, focus on the way you interact with colleagues, customers and friends. The positiveness you have when you interact will make the difference. Good Luck with us!
