– Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini looks like?

I am vice president for 23 years now and was responsible for all marketing and communications operations. Since this year I focus on influencer relations and thought leadership. That means a lot of networking with journalists and analysts and promoting our thought leadership via studies and reports.

– What is the best thing about working at Capgemini?

The values that the company stands for, with freedom, team spirit and fun as my favorite values. You can really shape your own career and show value in what you do. As former CSR officer I also always appreciated the promotion of diversity, sustainability, and inclusion.

– What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

Capgemini is now one of the world leaders in IT services. Also, in Belgium it is a top three brand, which makes it attractive for clients and for people that want to work for us. The fact that we do our work as a team, and not as an individual, is unique and very stimulating.

– How are you working towards the future you want?

As a member of the Belgian Country Board, we try to create sustainable growth. The key factor is collaboration between all units, and the understanding of each other’s business needs. To give you an example: important decisions that we took recently is the move to a hyper modern new office and the electrification of our car fleet.

– What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

It doesn’t matter what you study background or experience is (I am a philologist and philosopher from the KU Leuven), at Capgemini you are master of your own destiny. You can really create the future you want.
