Working at Capgemini has enabled me to develop my technical skills by working with different clients. Having the opportunity to continuously focus and build those relationships has been amazing for my careeer so far!

What drew you to a career at Capgemini originally and how has the company changed since?

I wanted to work for a large Consulting company with global clients and Capgemini has a wide range of large clients. Testing Services is very prevalent within Capgemini and this particular area has experienced rapid growth. My career at Capgemini has gone from strength to strength and the support I’ve received from HR and within the Managed Services leadership team has been like working for one big family who support each other.

What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?

When you work for a Consulting company you are always working for a client, so your client relationship will always take priority. To me, working collaboratively and doing the right thing for my client really matters. I like to continuously build strong business relationships as part of my day to day role and this means constantly bringing my clients along on the solution journey we aim to deliver for them. Capgemini’s 7 values – Honesty – Boldness – Trust – Fun – Modesty – Team Spirit and Freedom – empower us to be different in the business context with our clients, but at the same time these values also influence the way we work with our clients.

Tell us about your work life harmony at Capgemini?

For me obtaining that work life harmony is a state of equilibrium, in which the demands of personal and professional life are equal. I try to prioritise work tasks and allocate sufficient time to complete them but I also place great importance on time management which in turn enables me to structure my time at work. I take regular small, short breaks with my team so I can ensure we achieve that balance together. Capgemini allows us to leverage technology to work smarter and have implemented flexible working hours which benefits not just the business but the employee too. We’ve educated our clients on our work/life harmony policies and how it’s increased competitiveness and productivity.
