I love relationship management. I ace at adaptability & emotional intelligence
How do you feel in the morning getting up and going to work at Capgemini?
On a general, average, normal day I enjoy getting up every day, because I work with other employees across other states and countries with teams operating in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and India. It’s exciting to have that dynamic and generally in the finance team we’re working with genuine down to earth people. Whilst we’re working with complex problems and the work may be frustrating at times for us, generally, everyone has a really good working relationship, and I believe most times this is what makes people stay where they are.
What do you love about your job?
I started at Capgemini when I was 23, so when I first started it was about bringing in fresh groups without a culture embedded in them. Collectively you grow that culture within them. I think with Capgemini it has such a unique, strong culture. When you integrate Graduates with Executives and you bring them into a like-minded environment, you generally can’t change how Graduates work or operate – everybody has unique mindsets. I know it sounds ‘jazzy’ but it’s true, we do align to the Capgemini values, and we do this really well.
How does Capgemini help support your sense of purpose in your career?
Capgemini has always supported by career ambitions with a new opportunity, a challenging project, skill development, and the chance to broaden my knowledge base. A career path isn’t just about moving up, it’s also about moving laterally.
