What drew you to a career at Capgemini originally and how has the company changed since?
I am a new member of Capgemini and joined as part of an acquisition of Leidos Cyber. Our company was acquired to bolster the Capgemini Cyber Security skillset and bring some new service offerings that are complimentary to Capgemini. This means that Capgemini now has offerings across all areas of Cyber Security.
What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?
My current days involve assisting clients with the uplift of their Cyber Security operations. This involves assessing, and pro-assisting junior Analysts with their projects.
Tell us about your work life harmony at Capgemini?
Working in Cyber Security at Capgemini offers a flexible work environment which allows me to work at home as needed. This realy helps me manage both my personal commitments with my work commitments and have that balance.
Describe your current role at Capgemini
I am currently a Consulting Senior Cyber Security Analyst. My day to day role sees me working with customers to build their Cyber Security Operations Centre and improve their processes and procedures, training Cyber Security Analysts and performing investigations as needed.
How would you describe the culture at Capgemini?
Everyone at Capgemini has been really easy to get along with. Being new to the organisation, the monthly social events help us to integrate with the organisation and network with our colleagues.
What has been the most empowering moment in your Capgemini career journey?
With the acquisition I’ve been able to demonstrate the value my team brings to Capgemini. I’ve also been able to start developing my own service offerings which will be a valuable part of the overall offering.
What are you passionate about in your role?
Cyber Security is still a relatively new field and is continually growing and expanding. This means continuous improvement and learning is a must and this keeps me interested. I am also interested in threat hunting which means finding the hidden attackers in your network.
