 Let’s talk about the role and responsibilities: 

SAP Market Process Management for Utilities (MPM) for SAP S/4HANA Consultant (Functional and Technical)

  • Provide operational support for our Market Process Management for Utilities for SAP S/4HANA (MPM) system based on SAP best practises aligned to the Capgemini delivery standards to meet the client expectations as per the statement of work. 
  • Should have AMS Support experience in SAP like Incident/problem/change request managemen
  • Build, operate and adhere to a sound security architecture framework partnering with the Security, HR, and Legal organization
  • Analyse and triage incidents with an appropriate sense of urgency, focus on restoration of service, followed by root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
  • Create, own, execute change requests relating to SAP MPM as per the agreed client process
  • Execute service requests based on the Service Catalogue or an ad hoc basis which may lead to a CR
  • Provide reports to the account management team and engage with client stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Provides subject-matter expertise, best practices, technical approaches, and strategic recommendations. Exhibits technical leadership to ensure optimal function and enhancement of SAP MPM and keeps up to date on the latest SAP MPM industry solutions and trends
  • Perform installation, migration, configuration, maintenance, technical support and troubleshooting of the SAP MPM implementation in a hybrid cloud IT environment
  • Observes project delivery protocol and ensures timely escalation of status, issues, and risk
  • Engage in requirements gathering and development of use cases. Supports MPM architecture, process, and governance development
  • Translates architecture specifications to low-level component design and identifies customizations for implementation
  • Communicate with clients and partners on aspects of both the product and implementation at the technical and/or functional level, appropriate for the situation. 
  • Provide SAP MPM-related troubleshooting services as part of project or post-production support activities. 
  • Perform out of the box configuration and implement necessary customization as needed
  • Participate in capacity planning and HW specification recommendation efforts
  • Ensure requirements are gathered, processes defined, and use cases are documented.
  • Participate in all SAP MPM deployment activities, connector configuration, custom rule development, workflow configuration and development, and third-party system integration
  • Work with clients post implementation for user testing, debugging, support and maintenance. 
  • Resolve any issues highlighted during System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Resolve day to day technical issues.
  • Help develop technical documents detailing the products, environment and process of identity systems and functions


Let’s talk about your qualifications and experience:  

Relevant hands on IS-U functional experience, with knowledge in the following areas:

  • Should have experience working in the support project and Incident Management, Change request.
  • IDE/IDEX processes; Market messages; Change of Supply; technical & business master data; New Connection; Retailer churn, Service orders, DE-Registrations; Re-Registrations; Cancellations; Objections; Switch documents; Process documents, Move-in/Move-outs and reversals; Meter reads/special reads;
  • Knowledge of Customer service functions e.g. Change of supplier, CSDN;OWN, Customer interaction centre etc.
  • Knowledge of customer contacts, enquiries and complaints.
  • Knowledge of meter reading and Device management.
  • Knowledge in the following specific areas would be an advantage:
  • A technical background with ABAP debugging skills is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Testing (HP Quality Centre V.12) and Quality Assurance.
  • Configuration-based modelling of business processes
  • Knowledge of Ad-hoc or mass execution of the business process,
  • Knowledge of Configurable business validations (for example, for inbound messages), allowing for changes in the validation logic without the need to change the process
  • Exception handing using standard BPEM (Business Process Exception Management)
  • Knowledge of Deadline monitoring and Triggering of outbound messages
