Hello World! – digital competence made accessible to all children

Digital empowerment for an inclusive future

As a global leader in digital, Capgemini’s ambition is to help make the digital revolution an opportunity for all and to provide a bridge between technology and society.

In Capgemini Australia, we have joined hands with Hello World! a non-profit organization, which aims to help to strengthen Australia’s future competitiveness by promoting digital creation. Together we aim to make digital competence easily accessible to all children and youth regardless of background.

Lars Kullberg, VP, Executive Sponsor Digital Inclusion

“As a leader in digital transformation, Capgemini has a key role to play in the way the world progresses and in the way the societies are evolving. In Australia, we expect a huge lack of programmers in the future. Hello World’s objective is to secure that Australia has enough IT skills to secure the Swedish competitiveness in the future. So, our joint Vision is to make digital creation available for all children and youth in Australia independent of earlier experience and to make digital creation equally interesting for girls as for boys.”

As a part of this collaboration, Capgemini Australia hosts meetups in our Capgemini offices, where children and youth gather to learn how to build simple programs, refine their design, logic, and problem-solving abilities, and allowing them to express ideas and creativity in unique ways.
