En Estados Unidos y parte de Europa, los servicios de streaming Over the Top (OTT) tienen la mayor cuota de consumo de video para todos los grupos de edad hasta los 50 a\u00f1os.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfRecuerdas cuando los servicios de streaming eran s\u00f3lo una apuesta de los j\u00f3venes tecn\u00f3logos? Pues bien, los servicios de v\u00eddeo a la carta est\u00e1n arrasando, y ahora est\u00e1n a punto de superar a la televisi\u00f3n de pago en m\u00e1s de 30 pa\u00edses a finales de a\u00f1o. En Estados Unidos y parte de Europa, los servicios de streaming Over the Top (OTT) tienen la mayor cuota de consumo de v\u00eddeo para todos los grupos de edad hasta los 50 a\u00f1os, y la COVID-19 no ha hecho sino aumentar la confianza de los consumidores en los OTT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El gran n\u00famero de nuevos lanzamientos de streaming OTT ha cambiado el juego para la industria de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n y el entretenimiento.&nbsp; Los nuevos OTT incluyen emisoras, operadores de telecomunicaciones, titulares de derechos y otros, a nivel local e internacional, todos ellos con el objetivo de captar relaciones directas con el consumidor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La batalla por los suscriptores, as\u00ed como por los anunciantes, est\u00e1 floreciendo a medida que los actores locales, cuyas audiencias en la televisi\u00f3n tradicional est\u00e1n disminuyendo, lanzan sus propios modelos OTT. La actual fragmentaci\u00f3n de servicios y contenidos exige inevitablemente una nueva remodelaci\u00f3n del sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuestro reciente estudio tiene como objetivo comprender mejor c\u00f3mo los datos desencadenan la diferenciaci\u00f3n y la ventaja competitiva a trav\u00e9s de dimensiones estrat\u00e9gicas para las empresas de medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, como el abastecimiento de contenidos, la adquisici\u00f3n de clientes, la fidelizaci\u00f3n de clientes y el valor de por vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para las OTT, el contenido es primordial, seguido de la experiencia del usuario y la marca. Estas necesidades no existen por s\u00ed solas. Casi el 70% de los m\u00e1s de 40 ejecutivos de medios de comunicaci\u00f3n que entrevistamos para nuestra investigaci\u00f3n, declararon que los datos son cr\u00edticos para la supervivencia del negocio. Si el contenido es el rey, los datos son ahora el as.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Los datos deben entenderse como la combinaci\u00f3n de big data, enriquecida con thick data e inteligencia humana, y deben abarcar m\u00faltiples campos de aplicaci\u00f3n empresarial.&nbsp; Descubrimos que las empresas de medios de comunicaci\u00f3n individualizan su nivel de madurez en la aplicaci\u00f3n de datos, y que dos de cada tres de ellas s\u00f3lo cumplen con lo b\u00e1sico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para alcanzar la plena madurez ser\u00e1 necesario aprovechar las mejores pr\u00e1cticas de los l\u00edderes: (1) decidir situar los datos en el centro de la estrategia, (2) construir un entorno de confianza, (3) dirigirse a los usuarios y no a las audiencias, (4) trabajar en las competencias para cerrar la brecha entre el negocio y los datos, (5) construir una arquitectura basada en la nube de datos en movimiento, (6) centrarse en los algoritmos, (7) equilibrar y controlar los algoritmos por los humanos y fomentar la creatividad, (8) alinear la gobernanza de los datos para permitir la democratizaci\u00f3n y la agilidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con los servicios OTT, la industria de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n y el entretenimiento ha entrado realmente en la era de los datos.
