The PSD2 regulations have set the stage for an open banking and payments ecosystem. It is the next generation of the original Payment Services Directive issued by the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>2<\/sup> PSD2 will be implemented into national legislation across the 28 EU countries with those rules to be applied by January 13, 2018.
