Capgemini North America’s HOLA Employee Resource Group Recognizes Hispanic Heritage Month
HOLA (Hispanic Opportunity Leadership Achievement) is Capgemini’s ERG focused on the career development needs of Hispanic/Latino employees. HOLA’s mission is to promote a mutually beneficial integration of strengths that exist between Hispanic/Latino and non-Hispanic/Latino members of Capgemini. HOLA, seeks to provide forums and activities for Awareness, Development, Service, Networking, Recruitment and Retention. HOLA’s logo, the clasped hands are not just to signify a greeting, it’s the hand up to get Capgemini employees started on journey of growth and opportunity.
Annually, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. With these tenants in mind, the HOLA leadership team saw no better way to embrace and celebrate Hispanic Heritage month than by supporting the Prospanica Conference, the pre-eminent business conference for Latino MBAs and professionals. This four day event held in Houston, Texas, provided career development opportunities for our colleagues in attendance, and supported our recruitment efforts as Capgemini representatives were able to meet with hundreds of candidates interested in learning more about our organization and industry. Prospanica has a mission and focus for “building a legacy for Hispanic Leaders.”
Hector Pino, a member of HOLA’s National Leadership Team and Operations Delivery Manager, Data Center Services and Cloud Infrastructure Services US states, “HOLA is not only a greeting in my native tongue, it is a word that implies warmth and welcome. As one of 11 Employee Resource or affinity groups, HOLA represents one of many connection points that brings us together at Capgemini. Over the past year my participation in HOLA has enabled me to meet some great people across the country and as well as to support other ERGs in the advancement of their goals and objectives in addition to our own. Additionally, the occasion of celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month affords me the opportunity to recall anew my own family roots to be sure, but it also serves as another reminder of the mosaic that is our country, and our Capgemini.

Capgemini NA’s Employee Resource Group Program
Capgemini NA endorses 11 Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that support our Diversity & Inclusion program. An ERG can be thought of as a network of colleagues with a common purpose. Any employee can join an ERG, or create a new ERG. Currently, there are approximately 1,400 Capgemini NA employees who participate in one of our ERGs.
