John Arnold

Chief Security Architect at Capgemini UK

John Arnold has been with Capgemini since 2000 when he joined as a security architect. Since that time he has architected many types of secure systems, and now leads the Security Architecture competency within Capgemini’s Security Consulting Practice in the UK.

Before Capgemini, John worked at Admiral as a security tester and contributed to the ITSEM, an EU security evaluation methodology; at Data Sciences where he developed security engineering tools; and at Ferranti.

Ever since joining the IT industry John has been interested in how we describe complex systems. He believes that better descriptive languages can improve communications with stakeholders, reduce cost by enabling automation, and improve the quality of the end product. He contributes regularly to the Jericho Forum which is exploring responses to the business trend towards de-perimeterisation.

In his free time he likes travel, cooking, walking, and programming.

Rick Mans

Architect & Business Analyst at Capgemini Netherlands

Rick Mans is an architect and a business analyst for Capgemini's rail and aviation cluster. He is also a board member of the YouX-Web community of practice that is all about the Web and its current and future technologies. Rick is passionate about this subject since the late nineties.

In the past Rick was a national succesful long distance swimmer who wun several national championships and who crossed the Ijsselmeer lake three times (a swim of approximately 25km). Swimming is still a passion, although it has become more passive. Currently his main interest are the possibilities that Enterprise2.0 has and its developments in the next few years.

Mark Nankman

Software Architect at Capgemini Netherlands

Mark is a seasoned software architect who has taken a strong interest in rich internet applications and Web 2.0 architecture in the last 3 years. He has a long background in object oriented software development, involving lots of C++ and Java coding, and middleware architectures with CORBA and J2EE. Mark likes to be on the forefront of technology, because that is where all the excitement is.

Lee Provoost

Senior Consultant at Capgemini Netherlands and Global leader Capgemini Java community

Lee Provoost is a Senior Consultant at Capgemini Netherlands and the co-founder and co-leader of Capgemini's global Java community. He joined Capgemini in 2006 after combining the position of a lead software engineer for an internet start-up and doing an Masters of Science in compiler and programming language design at the university of Utrecht. His broad interest has led him to areas like developing COBOL and RPG applications for IBM AS/400, over small compilers in Haskell to Java applications for cellphones. Currently his focus is on trying to understand how innovative and disruptive web technologies like cloud computing, internet service bus and Web 2.0 influence our lifes.

Lee loves gadgets and is a massive social networker who strongly believes that those network applications are revolutionizing the way we are collaborate with each other.

Lee loves traveling and working with people from different cultures. He worked on Capgemini projects in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Uganda and India.
