Improving IT Services and Reducing Carbon Emissions at Tube Lines
Tube Lines’ server, desktop and notebook PC infrastructure was end of life, with most of the PC hardware almost 6 years old. Rather than performing a straightforward refresh, it was keen to investigate ways that it could improve the IT service delivered to employees, while delivering on its Go Green initiative to reduce carbon emissions and lower the total cost of ownership. A Capgemini/Intel project team decided on an across-the-board IT refresh which involved deploying the latest generation of HP infrastructure, with Intel vPro, and Microsoft enterprise technologies.
