Alignment of enterprise and solution architectures using the Capgmini SOA framework

As interest in architecture continues to grow it is important to acknowledge several trends that may hinder its effectiveness if not addressed. In particular, the difference that lies in the approaches taken toward enterprise architecture and solution architecture. The two are certainly not the same, and indeed their distinction as two separate entities is required in order to ensure they both work as effective partners, and not obstructive adversaries. Distinction of the two, in order to cater for and align the needs of both, is one of the major challenges facing architecture initiatives at present.
