Bouwfonds is one of the biggest real estate companies in the Netherlands. It requested Capgemini to implement the requirements set by Basel II in relation to risk management, organisational setup and IT systems.
Capgemini proposed a three-phase approach to prepare the organisation for the Basel II implementation.
As a result, Bouwfonds has integrated Basel II regulations into its operational processes. The entire property portfolio was revalued according to new classification models to allow levels of reserved capital to be established with more certainty.
