Cap Gemini Ernst & Young is contributing its CRM know-how, implementing the solution and training the users.
10 December 2001
Pivotal Corporation. (NASDAQ: PVTL; TSE: PVT) announces that Syngenta Agro SAS and Syngenta Seeds SAS have selected Pivotal eRelationship’s CRM solution to standardize their information systems databases in France. As of 2002, the solution will be deployed in about a dozen European countries.Resulting from the merger of Novartis and Zeneca, Syngenta is currently the agro-business world leader. Faced with the growing demands of players in the agronomic and food processing industries, Syngenta must provide thorough and relevant information. The company is applying its newly acquired commercial assets to develop services around its various product lines, and to build and consolidate its professional image. By standardizing the different databases of its clients, suppliers, outside opinion leaders and the agro-business community in general, Syngenta is reinforcing its commercial resources in order to:
- check client information in advance of client visits;
- identify all players in the distribution chain to maximize marketing actions and product information;
- become more familiar with and analyze how players in the agro-business market are evolving.
As a partner in this project, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young France is contributing its prior knowledge of Syngenta along with its expertise in CRM and change management. The project will be carried out in several phases:
- In the first instance, Novartis and Zeneca contacts will be merged in a uniform and common database availabile to all the sales forces. This new database will be updated and synchronized in real time.
- Pre-existing links and interactions and commercial relationships with all players in the sector will be identified.
- Syngenta’s successful marketing and commercial actions will be tracked and measured.
