14 November 2001

European cold chain logistics specialist Stef-TFE and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young France have sealed a long-term partnership agreement to develop and market IT solutions currently grouped under the name Agrostar Applications. To this end, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young France will make a capital investment in Agrostar, the Stef-TFE unit specializing in IT systems, which holds the marketing rights to the company’s software products. By combining the expertise of specialists in logistics and information systems, the aim is to strengthen the range of services that both groups will now be able to offer its food-processing and distribution customers. Likewise, the new company confirms the ambition of both partners to be leading players in food-processing supply-chain services.

Within this context, Stef-TFE has engaged Cap Gemini Ernst & Young France to integrate its information systems within a single IT architecture, and to run its existing and future systems as part of a ten-year outsourcing agreement. By calling upon the services of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young France, a recognized IT systems leader, Stef-TFE is showing its determination to offer rapid solutions to its customers’ current supply-chain and traceability of products problems by providing services that respond directly to their needs for reliability and security.
