Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Teams Up With Coface To Promote The Development Of Marketplaces And Business-To-Business E-Commerce

The Coface Group, the world’s leading provider of international credit insurance*, and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, one of the leading management and IT consulting firms and leader in services to electronic marketplaces and business-to-business (B2B) platforms**, have signed a partnership agreement involving @rating***, the first web-based global businesses rating system. The agreement aims to provide marketplaces and B2B platforms with the most comprehensive offer covering the security of inter-company electronic transactions, including consulting, technical integration and the service itself.
@rating*** will provide Cap Gemini Ernst & Young with the solution it needed to develop its offer as a creator and developer of electronic marketplaces, while the support of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young’s local teams will enable Coface to speed up the use of @rating by marketplaces, B2B platforms, banks and other B2B service providers.
The @rating Solution enables marketplaces to significantly enrich the quality of their services, by enabling members to demonstrate their credibility with the @rating quality Label, check the credibility of other members, thanks to the Coface Group database covering 35 million companies around the world, and protect themselves against commercial risks, all in a mouse click. With @rating, marketplaces benefit from an already fully operational and modular solution and can look forward to an increase in revenue, thanks to speeded-up business transactions and commissions paid on the use of @rating by their customers. Above all, they eliminates the lack of confidence, which is a major hurdle to the development of electronic commerce.
“In addition to its unique knowledge of the capacity of businesses around the world to meet their trade commitments, we welcome the Coface Group as an innovative and internationally acclaimed institutional partner”, stated Pierre Hessler, Deputy Managing Director of the Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Group.
François David, Chairman and Managing Director of the Coface Group, stressed that “Cap Gemini Ernst & Young contributes its capacity to create, build and administer marketplaces worldwide, as well as its capacity to integrate @rating under optimum conditions. The Coface Group has already signed agreements with, or is in advanced negotiations with, over 160 marketplaces in more than 20 countries”.
Initially, the partnership agreement will be immediately deployed in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, the United States, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Germany and France.
