Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Signs Extensive Outsourcing Agreement with the Swedish Migration Board
The Swedish Migration Board chooses Cap Gemini Ernst & Young to be responsible for the hosting and operations services and helpdesk functions regarding the authority’s IT operations. The deal, valued to about € 2,4 million exclusive of additional consultancy assignments is valid for three years, with a possible extension.

The Migration Board, Sweden’s central government authority for alien’s affairs, outsources the hosting and operations services of its IT systems to management and IT consultancy firm Cap Gemini Ernst &Young Sverige AB (CGE&Y). The agreement comprises user support, technical maintenance and installation of PC products. The contract is valid for three years with an option for another two years.The operational management commitment will be handled from the Swedish Migration Board’s headquarters in Norrköping, Sweden.
“Through this long-term outsourcing agreement with CGE&Y we are securing the supply of qualified IT competence and are able to adjust our IT resources in a more flexible way. We are also elucidating order and execution roles, creating an improved cost efficiency”, said Jan Westmar, IT responsible at the Swedish Migration Board.
