Cap Gemini Ernst & Young Appoints New North American CEO

Mark Hauser Tapped to Lead CGE&Y in North America Hauser Appoints Three Executives to Key Leadership Positions

Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, one of the world’s largest independent management and IT consulting firms, has named Mark Hauser CEO of North America. Hauser succeeds Terry Ozan who has been appointed to a global role where he will be responsible for worldwide service innovation and strategy. Hauser has been chosen to lead the Americas organization. His top priority will be leading a transformation aimed at adapting Cap Gemini Ernst & Young to the new market conditions.

Prior to his CEO appointment, Hauser, 41, led Cap Gemini Ernst & Young’s five Global Sector Units and three Lines of Business. Hauser was also responsible for the development of some of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young’s most innovative service offerings to key global customers.

After the merger of Cap Gemini with Ernst & Young in May 2000, Hauser led the transformation and integration of the company’s service lines, which has enabled Cap Gemini Ernst & Young to gain a market leadership position in B2B/ Supply Chain, CRM and technology consulting.

As the North American CEO, Hauser has already announced several appointments aimed at creating a dynamic leadership team comprised of experienced market driven executives including:

  • Greg Cudahy, 38, will assume the role of Director of Business Solutions and Innovation and maintain his current position as Global Director of B2B/Supply Chain.
  • Dave Zito, 38, has been named Director of Operations for the Americas. Zito previously served as a leader in Cap Gemini Ernst & Young’s Health Practice, specializing in post-merger integration, process improvement and focused restructuring.
  • Brad Callahan, 49, will lead the newly formed Product Sector, which is a combination of two former Business Units: Manufacturing/High Tech/Automotive and Consumer Products, Retail and Distribution. Callahan previously led the Manufacturing/High Tech/Automotive Business Unit.

Prior to joining Cap Gemini Ernst & Young in 1990, Hauser was Vice President of Finance for Telxon Corporation, a manufacturer of handheld computer systems. Before Texlon he was with Price Waterhouse.

Mr. Hauser holds a Bachelor of Science from Marquette University, an MBA from Case Western Reserve’s Weatherhead School of Management and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is based in Chicago, Illinois.
