Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and Pierre Fabre SA sign a €158 million, 10-year partnership agreement
10 September 2002
Cap Gemini Ernst & Young France (CGE&Y) and Pierre Fabre SA announce the signing of a 10-year partnership agreement to establish a joint company – known as Pierre Fabre Informatique – in Castres, France. The company is owned 51% by CGE&Y and 49% by Pierre Fabre SA.
Pierre Fabre Informatique will handle the implementation of Pierre Fabre SA’s IT systems, including applications maintenance. At the outset, the company will employ about 50 people coming from both CGE&Y and Pierre Fabre SA.
This partnership agreement arose from Pierre Fabre SA’s decision to consolidate its major and essential IT investments, and from CGE&Y’s interest in building stronger ties with one of its key clients in France. In addition, Pierre Fabre Informatique will serve as the nucleus of a new CGE&Y service platform based in Castres, aimed at assisting new businesses and clients both inside France and internationally.
The creation of Pierre Fabre Informatique is also in line with the parent company’s involvement in regional development and with digital infrastructures in and around Castres.
