Capgemini’s Global Chief Technology Officer Andy Mulholland provides a rundown on Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) in an interview with Computer Weekly, a leading UK-based IT trade publication.
The interview was selected to feature as Computer Weekly’s inaugural podcast. It is backed up with full articles in the print and online editions of the magazine, as well as comment in the magazine’s editorial “What’s behind the SOA buzz?”.Â
Interviewed by technology editor Cliff Saran, Andy Mulholland gives an overview of how SOA can be deployed to best effect within businesses, in particular when combined with hybrid web applications known as “mashups” made possible by increasing process and technology standardization. These themes are further developed in Mashup Corporations: The End of Business As Usual, a book recently co-authored by Andy Mulholland.
