Bofors Defence chooses Cap Gemini Ernst
& Young as Outsourcing Partner
Bofors Defence has signed an extensive outsourcing
agreement with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young (CGE&Y) to
the estimated value of € 3 million. The Infrastructure Management
deal involves Bofors Defence’s networks and servers, as well
as helpdesk and user support for employees.
Stockholm, Sweden – September 13, 2002 – Bofors Defence AB,
a Swedish defence systems company wholly owned by defence
giant United Defence, has signed an agreement with Telecom
Media Networks*, an industry practice of Cap Gemini Ernst
& Young. The contract includes an Infrastructure Management
engagement involving Bofors Defence’s networks and servers,
and also helpdesk and user support for 450 employees. The
three year agreement is valued to about € 3 million.

and cost reducing solutions”,

The Infrastructure Management engagement is managed from
CGE&Y’s delivery center in Örebro, Sweden, a center with
140 employees that plays a major role in the consulting firm’s
focused activity within IT Outsourcing.
The CGE&Y IT Outsourcing focus involves the joining of
Swedish Applications Management and Infrastructure Management
units, a move that will fortify and elucidate CGE&Y’s
global focus within this area.
