NETONOMY AND CAP GEMINI ERNST & YOUNG
SIGN WORLDWIDE PARTNERSHIP TO FOCUS ON SELF-SERVICE E-CARE
SOLUTIONS FOR 3G OPERATORS
Paris, France March 9, 2001: Netonomy, the leader in e-Care
and e-Commerce solutions for wireless communications service
providers and Telecom Media Networks an industry practice
of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, one of the largest management
and IT consulting firms in the world, have signed a global
partnership agreement.
The partnership builds on the informal working relationship
already established by the two companies and enables Telecom
Media Networks to integrate the MyNetonomy application into
its e-Care and e-Commerce solutions for telecommunications
service providers.
Netonomy is working with Telecom Media Networks to establish
best practice in delivering e-Care and e-Commerce solutions,
particularly in the 3G environment. True 3G service can only
be fulfilled by the self-service model, as the number of customer
interactions will be significantly increased, making the traditional
customer service and support operations via the call centre
prohibitively expensive and slow. Experts say customer contacts
will increase 10 fold, which call centres will be unable to
support.
The MyNetonomy solution enables service providers to increase
revenue, improve customer service and reduce churn and operating
costs. It is a key component in a customer care program for
communications service providers and is already being adopted
by some of Telecom Media Networks current clients.
Alexandre Haeffner, Chief Executive Officer of Cap Gemini
Ernst & Young Telecom Media Networks said: We have established
a good working team to offer communications service providers
effective self-CRM strategy and solutions that will enable
them to transform their business in a short timeframe. This
alliance allows us to provide industry-leading self-care and
self-CRM solutions to our joint telecom service provider customer
base.
John Ball, Chief Executive Officer of Netonomy, said: If
service providers are to survive in the 3G world, they must
adopt the self-service route. Otherwise, they simply will
not be able to cope with the increased number of customer
interactions that 3G demands. The combination of Netonomy
and Telecom Media Networks, with their expertise in self-service
CRM for telcos will enable 3G operators to win in this new
competitive environment.
