TOGAF: The Open Group Architecture Framework
Sixty percent of the Global Fortune top 50 enterprises have all formally adopted or are committed to using TOGAF, The Open Group Architecture Framework, as a common standardized approach within their Enterprise Architecture.
More than 7,500 enterprise architects have been formally trained and certified in how to apply TOGAF to ensure that it is applied in a common manner.Â
The reason is to ensure that business processes that might need to be used between enterprises are described in a common manner so that increasing amounts of online commerce can take place.
The release of the version 9 of TOGAF has been hailed as a major step forward in the press. So, what exactly is TOGAF? This is the topic for the monthly Technology Brief, together with the usual roundup of news items.
