Distribution Center Study
Europe’s most Wanted Distribution Centers
The report is based on a survey done by Capgemini in collaboration with ProLogis
during 2006Â and gives a high-level overview of the pan-European distribution footprint
over different industry sectors. The report also address the key challenges per
industry sector as stated by the respondents. Focus industries in the report are
High Tech and Electronics, Food and Beverage, Consumer Products and Life Sciences
and Pharmaceuticals. Â
About a hundred supply chain leaders from various industry sectors have provided
insight into their current footprint and the main issues facing them. In all 300
distribution center locations, 18,000 FTEs (full-time equivalents) in the realm
of employment, 2.4 million square meters of distribution center surface area were
evaluated.
