Dr Didier Bonnet
Vice President & Global Leader, TME Consulting Practice

Didier has more then 20 years’ consulting experience in strategy development, M&A and alliances, globalisation, internet economics and competitive and industry analyses. He has led and contributed to several large business transformation programmes for major telecommunications and media clients, consulting on issues ranging from strategy definition to operational implementation and organizational design. Before Capgemini, Didier was a strategy consultant with the international economic and management consulting firm, Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett, and with Coopers & Lybrand. Prior to consulting Didier worked in the high tech sector and lectured at several business schools with a focus on technology strategy and the economics of innovation. He holds an undergraduate qualification in economics, and MBA and a Doctorate in Philosophy from Oxford.


Pascal Weckx
Vice President & Global COO, TME Consulting Practice

Pascal has more than 30 years’ consulting experience, of which 10 have been in the telecom and media industries. His areas of expertise cover mainly management and organizational issues. In his career, Pascal has worked for more than 100 clients in all sectors; the latest ones belong to French major TV Channels and Telco Operators. Former Head of the French unit, Pascal was, prior to joining Capgemini, a Senior Partner at Bossard Consultants then at Gemini Consulting. Pascal is an engineer from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines.


Per Blom
Vice President & Leader, TME Consulting Practice Nordic

Since joining Capgemini in 1994, Per has worked mainly with fixed/broadband and mobile operators, but also with carriers, equipment manufacturers and public broadcasters. He has a particular interest in large corporate change programs, including complex technology management issues; recent projects include revenue assurance studies, broadband market studies of regulatory implications, go to market assessments, outsourcing strategies, IS/IT strategy and effectiveness programs, and large process and ERP solution programs. Per joined Capgemini from Accenture, and holds a Master of Science in Industrial Management and Engineering from Linköping Institute of Technology in Sweden.


Roger Eriksson
Vice President and Country Leader, Sweden

In his 5 years with Capgemini, Roger has led numerous strategy projects in Scandinavia and Europe. From triple-play strategy and go-to-market for a broadcast player, to business transformation implementation and mobilization for an incumbent operator, Roger’s experience spans the converged value-chain. Before joining Capgemini, Roger worked operator-side in Scandinavia and for PWC.


Patrick Ferraris
Vice President & Leader, TME Consulting Practice France

Patrick Has more than 15 years of consulting experience, of which 10 have been in the Telecom and Media industries. He has led major launch projects for mobile and triple play operators as well as corporate change programmes. He also has in depth skills in media with a special focus on TV and advertising. Patrick was a Partner with Bossard Consultants prior to joining Gemini Consulting then Capgemini. He is a graduate of Ecole Nationale des Ponts & Chaussées, Paris and of M.I.T, Cambridge USA.


Professor Dr. Dieter Lange
Vice President & Leader, TME Consulting Practice Central Europe

With more than 7 years’ consulting experience in telecommunications, media and high-technology and nearly 10 years experience in industry business, Dieter´s expertise ranges from strategic management over marketing and technology strategies to market orientated organizational restructurings. Before joining Capgemini, Dieter was a Managing Director at BearingPoint and Vice President for AT Kearney, responsible for their communications divisions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Furthermore, his industry experience is based on previous assignments as Executive Vice President and program manager at Deutsche Telekom and as Head of Berlin office and member of the board of a consulting subsidiary of Deutsche Bank. He holds a Doctorate in Economics from Berlin University and is Visiting Professor at Ashcroft International Business School.


Alfonso CosioAlfonso Cossío
Vice President & Leader, TME Consulting Practice Iberia

Alfonso has more than 15 years’ industry and consulting experience across Europe and Latin America, developed mainly in Strategic Marketing and Sales as well as in operational and organisational roles.  He has led numerous projects for telecom operators and media companies, including strategic assessments and launches for triple play and convergent operators. Prior to joining Capgemini in 1998, Alfonso worked for the Carrefour Group in international development and for Andersen Consulting. He is a qualified engineer in Computing Sciences (University of Deusto-Bilbao) and holds an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa Business School, where he also held the post of Associate Professor.


Vincent Rutgers
Vice President & Leader, TME Consulting Practice Benelux

Vincent has been working in the telecommunications industry for more than 17 years, with the past 11 in management consulting. He has undertaken a wide range of strategic, financial and operational projects in the online, broadcasting and telecommunications industries for operators, regulators, investors, and technology manufacturers. Much of his work has been international in nature - with projects in the Middle East and South America as well as in Europe. Prior to joining Capgemini in 2001, Vincent was working as a Lead Principal for IBM Global Services and Principal at PwC and Coopers & Lybrand. Other previous employers in the telecom industry have been Philips Telecom and AT&T Network Systems. Vincent holds an MBA and a BA in commercial engineering.


Rob Staples
Vice President & Leader, TME Consulting Practice UK

Rob is a communications industry specialist with functional expertise in strategy and marketing. As well as being responsible for managing the UK practice, he works with CEO’s and board level clients in the telecommunications and media industries on their strategic agendas. He previously held the same role for the Asia Pacific region. Rob has 15 years’ operational and consulting experience, gained in projects around the world. Before joining Capgemini, Rob was Vice President and GM of iXL’s Mobile & Wireless Solutions Group in Europe, and worked for Redwing Consulting Ltd, a boutique telecommunications consulting company. Before that Rob held operational management roles for major telecoms companies in London and Hong Kong.


Jacques Assaraf
Vice President, TME Consulting Practice France

Jacques has more than 15 years of consulting experience in telecommunications and media. During the past 10 years, Jacques has been developing in depth expertise in the Internet and in the triple play arena for DSL players, overseeing multiple projects throughout Europe. Jacques also has in-depth skills in mobile and in media with a special focus on radio. Prior to joining Capgemini, Jacques was part of the consulting practice in Accenture. Jacques is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications.


Philippe Blanc
Vice President, TME Consulting Practice France

Philippe has more than 12 years’ consulting experience in the fields of mobile & fixed telecommunications, internet, retail distribution as well as mobile multimedia & high-speed data. His area of expertise encompasses strategy, marketing & sales as well as organization. He has led major launch projects, including the set up of a new mobile, fixed & internet telco in Scandinavia, the launch of new mass-market voice offers in the French market and recently the introduction of UMTS and Edge value propositions & networks. Strategy projects include successful fixed wireless & 3G licence bids, the design of a network sharing strategy, the definition and execution of a €100m SMS development plan, and the recommendation of a mobile TV policy. Philippe holds undergraduate qualifications in Political Science as well as graduate & post-postgraduate degree in Strategic Management (HEC, Paris).


Frédéric Burtz
Vice President, TME Consulting Practice France

Frédéric has more than 13 years’ experience in the field of telecommunication operators. His area of specialization encompasses strategy, marketing and organization. He has led and participated in numerous mobile projects, including the launch of mobile multimedia operations, 3G and marketing organisations. Lately he has focused on convergence in the telecommunication sector leading numerous assignment from strategy design to product development at integrated players. Previously he worked for 5 years for France Telecom R&D in the field of the Telecommunication Management Network leading various work of standardization and development. Frédéric is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications.


Victor Marçais
Vice President, TME Consulting Practice France

Victor has 15 years of consulting experience in the fields of mobile telecommunications, Internet, and mobile multimedia & high speed data. His areas of expertise encompass strategy, marketing & sales as well as organization. Victor has led major international projects, including the set-up of a mobile Telco in Egypt and GPRS/3G/WLL strategy projects for a Mobile Telco in Israel. He has led strategy and implementation projects for mobile operators in the fields of Multimedia product & services, customer experience, distribution strategy & point of Sale concepts, loyalty & retention, web strategy. Victor is a graduate of INA-PG and holds a postgraduate degree in Corporate Finance (DESS, Paris Dauphine University).


Susanne Söffge
Vice President, TME Consulting Practice Central

Susanne’s expertise encompasses strategic, operational and IT projects in the online, broadcasting and telecommunications industry. During her time at Capgemini she has launched an ISP in the German market, worked on restructuring, post-merger integration and CRM topics for broadcasting and publishing companies, and focussed on strategy development, marketing spend effectiveness, customer centricity programs for fixed and mobile operators. Susanne started her consulting career in 1991 at Gruber, Titze & Partner in the Information Management discipline across various industries. Prior to this she worked at IBM Deutschland. She holds a diploma on business economics at the University of Hohenheim.

 

Jean Diop
Vice President, Benelux

Jean is specialized in telecommunications strategy development and realization, financial business planning, technology network/products operations excellence, and Cx-level advisory. Prior to joining Capgemini, Jean has worked for Booz Allen Hamilton, PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consultants Services and Lucent Technologies.  He is a frequent speaker at seminars/conferences on a number of telecommunications related issues, including marketing IP-based broadband data services, strategies for wireless multimedia solutions, technologies of the new economy, and telecom market trends and technological developments.  He also teaches at Capgemini University, and at the London Open Business School for the European Executive MBA program (project finance appraisal and marketing strategy).

 

Ari Iso-Rautio
Vice President, UK

Ari originally joined as Strategy Consultant in Finland in 1995. He joined TME’s Consulting practice as a Senior Consultant in 2000 and during his tenure has worked on numerous strategy and transformation projects for major global clients in the telecommunications sector ranging from a Call Centre transformation for a UK wireless operator, to a market entry strategy in Central Europe and most recently the transformation of a broadcaster on the African continent. He currently heads the UK’s Media Consulting practice.

 

Jawad Shaikh
Vice President, UK

Jawad joined Capgemini in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1994. He worked for the group in USA before joining TME’s Consulting practice in UK in 2000. Since then he has worked on project delivery across the sector and also managed TME’s Strategy Lab for some years, producing world-class thought leadership such as the joint INSEAD report entitled “Recharging Mobile Innovation” in 2004.  Jawad has worked with a broad cross-sector of clients in the telecommunications sector and from across the globe, with deep Strategy Formulation expertise, and special interest in areas such as WiMAX and Customer Retention.
