Jim is a managing Enterprise Architect within the Technology Consulting group at Capgemini. He has extensive experience of large IT programme delivery in public and private sector and has worked both client and supplier side. He is normally found using his architecture experience to align business needs with technology enabled solutions and has around 5 years health care experience. Out of work familly takes up most of his time but he can occassionaly be seen on a mountain bike or out windsurfing.

Connecting patient data means better care in the NHS

Data sharing across local health economies is finally starting to become part of everyday life in England, especially across the urgent care system, where near real-time data on patient activity is being made available to primary care. 35,000 Healthcare IT professionals in one room: HIMSS 2011

  This year the largest healthcare IT conference in the world was held in Orlando at the Orange County Conference centre. With 1000 exhibitors and 31,000 attendees, it is on a truly enormous scale. The main exhibition hall is the size of 80 football pitches and the auditorium used for the keynote speeches holds well over 10,000 people.
