Peter Evans-Greenwood

CTO Capgemini Australia

Peter Evans-GreenwoodPeter Evans-Greenwood joined Capgemini as the next step in a diverse career that has seen him working across a broad range of industries and technologies, and with companies ranging from small start-ups through to global players such as DHL. Over fifteen years’ experience working at the interface between research, technology and business has seen him involved in a diverse range of problem domains from traditional back-office applications such as finance, billing, logistics, B2B, B2C and CRM applications; turn-key solutions including MUARC's advanced driving simulator and air traffic control; though to leveraging emerging technologies to create innovative back office, B2B and B2C solutions.

Peter’s role as Chief Technology Officer of Capgemini Australia has him working with business and technical stakeholders, drawing on his broad technical and industry experience to find innovative solutions for their most challenging business problems. His drive to demystify emerging technologies and help them to find their place in the enterprise makes him an active thought leader as well as prolific creator of white papers and articles.

Peter’s interests range well beyond the confines of technology to include history, design and philosophy. He is obsessed with understanding how people interact, collaborate, and negotiate, their ability to find flexible solutions in complex environments, and the challenge of bringing these ideas and the benefits they bring to enterprise software. Consequentially, he has a soft spot for agent technology, and would like to see it become mainstream one day.
