Capgemini is finalist for the 2006 Beacon Awards

On January 13, 2006, IBM announced the IBM Business Partners whose solutions have been selected as Winners and Finalists of the prestigious IBM PartnerWorld Beacon Awards. Business Partners submitted nominations covering the expanse of solutions for hardware, software and services. Each nomination was critically assessed by a panel of IBM executives and leading industry and press analysts who selected Finalists in each category. Winners were announced for thirty-six IBM PartnerWorld Beacon Awards from among 109 Finalists.

All Winners and Finalists will receive a hand-cut crystal award at the forthcoming IBM PartnerWorld event in Las Vegas from March 12-15 in recognition of their On Demand Business innovation.

Capgemini is finalist in the category: Best Use of IBM Technology in an On Demand Business Solution by a Global or Major Consultant and Integrator Business Partner.

Solution Name: Hosted SAP Infrastructure technology refresh

Capgemini UK implemented the SAP solution for UK ‘s leading newspaper and magazine wholesaler, which operates one of the world’s fastest moving supply chains. The system allows the client to meet ambitious performance targets and respond to stringent customer demands. The SAP solution was deployed on IBM P 590 AIX servers and features the first JS20 pSeries Blade servers for SAP production work.
