Extended Retail Solution

Extended Retail Solution (ERS) is a joint initiative from Capgemini, Intel and Cisco Systems and is based on Intel technology, linked through Cisco and delivered by Capgemini. ERS provides retailers with an adaptive, open standards-based approach to help them achieve flexibility and superior customer service and to take advantage of today’s - and tomorrow’s - technology advances.  ERS helps to increase profitability and reduce both labor expenses and total cost of ownership for IT-related devices and applications, while increasing technology ROI.
ERS made its debut in 2003 at the National Retail Federation (NRF) convention in New York.  ERS helps retailers enhance a customer’s in-store experience while reducing operational costs through best-in-class open technology solutions.
