My path at Capgemini
- On-site with a client: in September 2012Placed on-site at a client. Supporting their testing of a product that will handle core functionalities in the client’s business.
- Everybody got new mobile phones. in August 2012
- Executed a system integration test in June 2012Helped with executing a System Integration Test and corrected the bugs that came up.
- Developed and delivered an interface for a client. in May 2012
- Created a lot of test cases for several days in a hurry to meet a tight deadline in April 2012
- Testing in January 2012Tested some interfaces and also corrected some bugs in my interfaces that were found by my colleagues during unit testing.
- My first project in October 2011A big project started in September with a training. I wrote several specification documents and had them accepted with the client. After that, we developed and unit tested these interfaces.
A Typical Day in the Office
First tasks of the day...
I normally arrive at the office before 8.30am. From my group, only my manager and another colleague are already there.
After powering the laptop on, I check my e-mails and the agenda for the day and I see in my calendar a status report and discussion at 11am. So there's plenty of time to get some work done before it. I set myself to work and develop an interface for a client from an already accepted functional description.
At the meeting with our manager, we share this week's progress on our tasks and what we are planning to do next week. Technical issues are also discussed in detail and how we can resolve them.
More developing in the afternoon
At lunchtime, I usually eat in the company canteen with my colleagues. In the afternoon, I continue developing. We use a version control system to keep our code organized, so at the end of the day, I can check my work before I head home.

Working for an international company
As Capgemini Hungary is part of a large company, so I now know what it's like to be part of a multinational group and there are a lot of opportunities for me to practice my English - like writing this testimony! Everybody has helped me settle into the company, which is really great since this is my first job.The work environment
I really like that people working on the same project sit near one another. It means that we can discuss any problems immediately so there's no need to organize a meeting.Learning opportunities

I'm a gamer...
Since elementary, I love playing video games. I still play sometimes, but a lot less, and not only because I have less free time.
But I love the outdoors too
I'm frequently working out and started bouldering with my friends, that's climbing short heights without any rope. We practice at a local gym with mattresses on the floor. I also started power walking. These are organized hikes where checkpoints are scattered along the trail and you have to be in the finish before a certain time for successful completion. At the start, you receive a route description, a map and a sheet which is stamped at each checkpoint. The reward is usually a certificate and a badge.
