Antonio Pavón Sánchez

I arrive every morning around 8:45 AM and check my calendar to organize the day. As I work with South America I check all mails received from the night before.
 
My team is located across several countries and locations, so I have to arrange a lot of conference calls during the day in order to steer all ongoing projects. I also have a lot of meetings with Capgemini managers to gather their IT or development requirements for their projects or day to day needs. A few times a week I report to my manager to inform him of key issues and the state of the projects.
 
At lunch time sometimes I eat with Capgemini colleagues or I have lunch at home, because I live very close to the office.
 
The afternoon is when I have most of the conferences calls with Latin American teams due to the time differences.
 
At the very end of the day, when work is over and “homework” is finished too and the children are asleep, I try to do my daily exercise such as cycling and running. 
 

I’ve been to the Capgemini University at Les Fontaines (France) several times and it’s always a great opportunity to meet colleagues from all around the world.  
 
My first time going to Capgemini University was part of my onboarding. I went to the first Capgemini University location, Béhoust, France.  It was exciting that I got to interact with other young people from different places.

I’m married with two children and my wife also works at Capgemini. We consider that as an advantage because both of us understand each other’s working life perfectly.
 
Madrid is a great place to live in Spain if you’re in this field of business. Many big Spanish companies are located here, so it’s a very dynamic market. People from Madrid are really open minded and are good hosts to people from abroad. Nobody feels like a stranger here.
 
The nightlife is great. If a colleague comes from another city or country for business you can take him to have dinner and show him around Madrid even on a Wednesday night. Madrid is always alive.

What’s great about Capgemini is that you get to work with people with different skills, and even from different countries. You always have the opportunity to learn something new and get other perspectives. 
 
I work daily at the headquarters of Capgemini Spain in Madrid which allows me to be in direct contact with the top management of the company.

PROJECT ONE

I joined the biggest outsourcing service contract at that time for Capgemini Spain. I was in charge of transitioning and managing all the cross support lines for the service delivery for an international recruitment agency.  The outsourcing services involved transferring more than 120 people, assets, more than 200 Databases and over 100 servers.
 
 

PROJECT TWO

I started this project from scratch with a team of only 2.5 Microsoft administrators. When I left the project three years later, the service had grown to more than 30 people administering the local MSD datacenter platform and providing user support with a help desk and contact center.
