At Capgemini we are always working to improve our diversity.

Policies alone won’t change attitudes and behaviors. We believe that “many small steps rather than one giant stride” is the way to make progress.

Capgemini in China

Capgemini China emphasizes internal communications to reinforce our identity and increase employees’ sense of belonging and inclusion.

Capgemini in France

Capgemini is one of six companies to sponsor the French Federation Handisport (FFH) at the 2008 Paralympic games to be held in Beijing this September. Created in 1963, Handisport’s main aim is to make sports activities accessible to people with disabilities. Our partnership with the association will help FFH teams of all sporting disciplines in their preparation for and particiation in this major event in the sporting calendar.

The Group concluded an agreement with trade unions to promote the employment of people with disabilities. We also signed the Diversity in Business Charter, which aims to encourage cultural, ethnic and social diversity through recruitment and career management.

Capgemini in India

New employees at Capgemini India participate in a 90-day integration program and are assigned a mentor to facilitate their orientation. A national media group recently acknowledged the team for “excellence” in creating “a good working atmosphere”.

Capgemini in the Netherlands

Connect in Circles is a mentorship initiative that allows women to discuss topics such as profiling, networking, negotiating and building a career with male or female vice presidents.

Capgemini NL ranked 3rd out of 113 companies in an employee satisfaction survey for providing “a good atmosphere”.

Capgemini in North America

The Capgemini Women’s Council was created to support our goal of a rich and diverse work environment. The team has national and local special interest networks and offers lending libraries with language tapes, diversity training materials and other resources.

In October 2007, the North American People Council created OUTfront for our Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) community. This diversity group aims to provide a safe and supportive work environment for GLBT individuals at Capgemini North America and to educate and raise awareness among people outside the community.

Capgemini in Norway

In 2003, we paired 13 women with male mentors for 1 year to cooperate on management tasks and share knowledge in the process. By 2005, 30% of Norway’s senior managers were female.

Capgemini in Spain

Capgemini Spain maintains a strong focus on recruiting diversity, participating in government initiatives to integrate disabled people into the workforce. The team recently offered free IT training courses for people with disabilities.

Capgemini in the United Kingdom

Capgemini UK works with external organizations committed to eliminating race, gender, age and disability bias in the workplace.
