Global Initiatives

You are in: Who We Are

As a global citizen, Capgemini is committed to assisting communities in need around the world.

Our global network of Capgemini offices is involved in a wide range of fundraising and philanthropic activities.

Education in India

With a growing presence in India, Capgemini is taking action to support the local population. Our offices in India, Norway and Sweden are working with the Naandi Foundation to improve educational opportunities for disadvantaged Indian children.

Micro-Financing

Capgemini and its Sogeti division actively participate in the PlaNet Finance association, whose local micro-financing program aims to help the world’s poorest people to fulfil their professional and economic potential.

Earthquake and Tsunami Relief

Like many, Capgemini was moved by the deaths and injuries of employees, family members and friends as a result of the Asian earthquake and Tsunami disasters. We undertook to help the affected population with corporate and individual donations to the International Red Cross. Capgemini offices around the world launched supporting initiatives, including one for India managed by the Group’s Indian subsidiary.

We also collaborated with Plan UK to rebuild a primary school in Banda Aceh, Indonesia that was destroyed by the December 2004 Tsunami. Capgemini offices around the world organized a series of events and campaigns to raise the required funds. The school successfully re-opened in July 2006.
