As a part of the Technology Services Group, the Senior Consultant will be responsible for the full systems lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of IT functional solutions. The Senior Consultant will also apply deep functional expertise and client handling skills in order to ensure engagement productivity, increase efficiencies for clients, resolve issues and overall client satisfaction. The Senior Consultant will work under minimal supervision and will be required to oversee the work of more junior team members.  The Senior Consultant will also carry a yearly target for managed revenue.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate in system documentation, testing, implementation, maintenance, and project setup/support often involving performing project setups, analyses, and designs.
• Plan and execute support projects to improve and streamline processes.
• Assist in determining the impact of operational issues and provide input into their resolution via data extraction and quantification
• Coordinate and prioritize all escalated activities, including testing, project management and implementation of system upgrades, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Assess critical path and assist in implementation of any project required by the business
• Resolve day-to-day support issues ensuring effective and timely resolution
• Provide 24/7 on call support
• Interpersonal communication and documentation skills
• Interface with database administrators and developers to keep abreast of the evolution of management system(s) used to create the reports from which relevant information is analyzed and/or distributed.
• Assist with the deployment of hardware and software to include activations, de-activations, changes, inquiries and adjustments.
• Identify sources and trends of technical problems to prevent future occurrences.
• Work with Development team and solution architect to understand project requirements and support project deployment.
• Transfer knowledge to other members of your team as well as across to other groups.
• Assist in testing of new software as escalated.
• Resolve conflicts and trace errors
• Take ownership of the issues, through root cause analysis and resolution
•  Develop solid relationships with infrastructure/operational teams and leverage the relationships to improve system stability and availability

Required Skills and Experience (Strong focus on SQL, Oracle)
5+ years experience with the following technologies

• RDBMS (Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server)
• Experience working with Oracle on Unix using command line and GUI SQL tools required
• ETL Tools (Informatica, SSIS, etc.)
• Reporting (Business Objects), Analytic and OLAP tools
• Telecommunications experience required (2 to 4 years preferred).
• System Analysis experience in the support/operation of a of large carrier class enterprise software system, preferably in a wireless environment
• Experience in testing, quality and change management methodologies required.

• College degree in a related area of study, with advanced degree highly preferred
• A strong track record of professional success, preferably in the Consulting Services arena
